PhD scholarship in Theoretical Physics/Financial Mathematics

Funding is available for a Ph.D. Studentship. It covers tuition (E.U. level), travel to conferences and carries a stipend of 16000 euro per year.

Financial Mathematics and Computation Cluster is a multiple-university research cluster supported by the Science Foundation of Ireland.  The cluster has a funding for a doctoral fellowship beginning in September 2010, situated at the Department of Mathematical Physics at NUI Maynooth. The fellowship covers tuition (EU level), a stipend of 16000 euro per year, and some research expenses.  The research work is part of the SFI funded Financial Mathematics and Computation Cluster and the work here at NUI Maynooth is lead by Professor Gregory Connor of the Economics Department and Professor Heffernan of the Department of Mathematical Physics.

Applications in writing, including a full CV should be sent to the address below. The minimum requirement is a first class honours degree in theoretical physics, mathematics, finance or a related discipline. Applications will be considered until the position is filled.
