Research interests: The study of non-perturbative
phenomena in electroweak and strong interaction theories using
semi-classical methods. Construction of Yang-Mills hierarchies in
higher dimensions and Higgs models arising from dimensional
descent of these. Construction of instantons and sphalerons in
these Higgs models and the study of their physical consequences.
Construction of solitons in these Higgs models and quantisation
in their background, as well as the classical scattering of these
solitons.
Construction of various lower dimensional (ungauged) toy models
corresponding to these Higgs models, and their study. Gauged
sigma models and their comparison with the corresponding Higgs
models. Construction of gravitational Einstein hierarchies and
the study of their properties.
